The Treehouse Studios Experience

Hello! I am Karly, and I truly am so excited to

• What we capture: Everything from your thoughtfully curated details to the celebration after the sun goes down. Our approach will remain documentary and candid for the most part, but I'll step in with suggestions to elevate the moment whenever it can be done unobtrusively.

• How we edit: True to life colors with a vibrant finish. Every image is delivered in both our signature color edit and a classic black and white, all organized into an easy-to-navigate gallery.

• What we deliver: On average, we deliver 50 to 100 photos per hour of coverage. Every image is available for download in both full-size and web-friendly sharing versions, with unlimited capacity. Plus, we offer heirloom albums, custom artwork, and long-term gallery hosting.

"We couldn’t be happier with our engagement and wedding photos! Every photo turned out absolutely amazing, and Karly did such a beautiful job capturing all of the special moments throughout both experiences in Traverse City.

What really stood out to us was her incredible attention to detail and how much she cared about making the photos personal to us.

Karly made sure to include the things that were most important to us, like our dogs. She captured not only the big moments, but also all of the little details and emotions that made our day so special.

We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, thoughtful, and detail-oriented photographer in Michigan"

A Photographer Who Reads The Room

Some parts of a wedding day need direction. Some don't.

You shouldn't have to choose between beautiful portraits and honest moments. You'll get both.

I'll confidently take charge when it's time for family portraits, help keep the timeline moving, bring energy when the room needs it, and step back when something meaningful is happening naturally.

I keep your photos relaxed while still taking the time to fix details like backwards necklaces and bunched up clothing. You'll receive direction with prompts designed to avoid stiff posing and keep it candid + romantic so you get back to the celebration.

Getting to know you helps me to learn exactly what you want captured before your big day, so you can relax and enjoy it.

If you'd like a second photographer, we can add one, but you can count on me as the lead photographer at your wedding.

The details

Starting the day by capturing a detail flat lay creates a visual beginning to your wedding day story.

I love these images because they grow in sentimental value with each decade that passes. Someday you'll go looking for a picture of the watch your husband wore on your wedding day. I want to make sure you have that photo.

Getting Ready

It's a little bit messy, and a whole vibe we love. Capture the last minute details, candid laughter and the cute pajamas you all coordinated. This is a great time for a gift exchange or a celebratory toast to set the tone.

First Look/First Touch

I'll help with location, timing, and light, then give you space to actually experience the moment.

You don't have to have a first look, but there are a lot of benefits to having one.

My favorites are:

1. You create an extra special moment & make more memories together all day

2. You get more photos (& you can attend your own cocktail hour!)

3. A more emotional walk down the aisle because you are already connected (less anxious=more present)

"Karly was incredible to work with and her photos truly captured how the day felt. She was so professional but at the same time made us feel like we were old friends taking photos. We felt so comfortable and had so much fun with her which helped the photos turn out so great. She was able to accommodate all of our requests (some being last minute) with such grace and I am forever appreciative of her!"

Portraits

Easy guidance so you can look your best and have fun together. I direct you through natural prompts designed to create beautiful moments and ensure you'll never have to wonder what to do with your hands.

How do I customize your direction?

While I am planning your photography coverage, you will receive a gallery link where you can create a favorites list from images that I can use as inspiration.

Family Photos

This is where my personality really comes in handy because I can really command a room when I want to.

Whether that's 12 people or 200, I can easily direct the attention of large groups and keep things moving. I'll organize everyone quickly, keep an eye on the details and infuse enough humor that it stays fun until we are done.

Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour is where guests relax and the party comes alive. A treasure trove for candid interactions and long-awaited greetings.

A dramatic entrance, meaningful speeches, emotional reactions, and the wild dance floor moments with all your favorite people. I'm already excited!

Sunset portraits aren't just about beautiful light.

They're an opportunity to reconnect and build another beautiful memory.

Spend ten minutes together before the celebration continues.

We can pose, we can play or we can rest.

The photographs are wonderful.

The memories are even better.

Private Last Dance & Exit

One of my favorite moments of the day.

A private last dance gives you a chance to soak everything in before the celebration ends.

From there, we'll gather your guests and create a memorable exit with sparklers, bubbles, or whatever fits your vision.

What is the investment,

and what do we deliver?
